Creative Services Producer

Job Description:WDIV-TV, Graham Media Groups NBC affiliate in Detroit, MI, is seeking a seasoned Creative Services Producer to join their team. The ideal candidate should excel in a dynamic environment, possess expertise in crafting captivating spots for both TV and digital platforms, and be self-driven. They should also have a deep understanding of how to emotionally engage audiences through compelling writing, striking visuals, music, and editing techniques. Proficiency in shooting and graphic design is highly preferred.Responsibilities:Develop and execute full-scale, on-brand marketing campaigns across digital, on-air, and social platforms.Write, produce, and edit engaging promotional content for special reports, brand spots, and station initiatives across all media platforms.Collaborate with news producers, reporters, and managers to gather information and videos for promos that enhance brand awareness.Create and produce additional video and graphic content tailored for digital and streaming audiences.Complete daily promotional logs accurately and on time.Provide production support and responsive customer service to all departments.Work with clients on sales-driven projects as needed.Utilize graphic design to elevate the quality of promotional spots.Participate in station-sponsored events and special promotional projects.Assist in planning and executing community events and station initiatives.Ensure all video, graphics, vignettes, and scripts align with Local 4's "Expect More" brand standards.Perform other duties and projects as assigned.Desired Qualifications:Experience: 5 years of experience in a newsroom is strongly preferred.Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, TV production, or communications is preferred.Collaboration Mindset: Ability to work effectively with diverse teams.Creative Software Expertise: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, and familiarity with graphic design.Technical Knowledge: Experience with WideOrbit and Microsoft Office preferred.Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, great communication skills.Adaptability: Open to constructive feedback and can pivot and adjust plans as needed.Availability: Willingness to work in Detroit, MI and work flexible non-traditional hours (nights and weekends), as needed.Location: 550 W Lafayette Blvd, Detroit, MI 48226Contact Details: Please submit your updated resume and application to:Mat Mezer, Creative Services Director: MMezer@.Click HERE to download and complete employment application.Additional Information:Any offer of employment is conditional upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, investigative background check, employment/education verifications and reference checks.No Phone Calls PleaseWDIV is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
