*** Must have automotive experience. Role: Advance Buyer Location: Wixom MI Duration: Full Time Perm We seek a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Buyer to join our dynamic procurement team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing the procurement process, managing vendor relationships, and driving cost savings initiatives. As an Advanced Buyer, you will be responsible for conducting thorough market research, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical skills, negotiation expertise, and a deep understanding of supply chain management. Other responsibilities include:Market Research and Analysis:Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential suppliers, industry trends, and pricing dynamics.Analyze market conditions, supplier capabilities, and product specifications to make informed purchasing decisions.Vendor Management:Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliersNegotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to secure favourable agreementsEvaluate supplier performance and conduct regular vendor assessmentsCost Optimization:Implement cost-saving strategies and initiatives to maximize efficiencyIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in procurementRisk Management:Assess and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, such as supplier disruptions and market fluctuationsDevelop contingency plans to ensure a continuous and reliable supply of goods and servicesCollaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, logistics, and quality assurance, to align procurement strategies with overall business objectivesCollaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide effective procurement solutionsCompliance:Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policiesStay informed about changes in legislation and industry practices that may impact procurement activitiesContract Management:Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, including terms and conditions, delivery schedules, and pricing structuresMonitor contract performance and address any deviations or issuesTechnology Utilization:Leverage procurement technology and tools to streamline processes and enhance data-driven decision-makingStay updated on advancements in procurement technology and recommend system improvements as neededTo be a qualified candidate you must meet the following:Bachelors degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
