Company:David creates tools to increase muscle and decrease fat. Our first product is a protein bar. More broadly, David is a platform to develop high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that are craveable.This is a compelling opportunity to join an exciting new food brand as we enter a critical growth stage. David is led by CEO Peter Rahal, the Cofounder and Former CEO of RXBAR ($600M exit to Kellogg in 2017). We have strong aspirations to become the most popular high-protein bar in North America and beyond.Role and Responsibilities:The Strategic Finance Manager will play a key role in driving strategic financial decisions at David. You will leverage expertise related to finance, strategic planning, and data-driven analysis to support the company's growth. This includes owning the company operating model and forecast, which requires acting as a strategic planning partner to all key functions, including Growth, Retail, and Supply Chain. Further, you will contribute to corporate development initiatives, including capital raising, M&A activities, and investor relations. More broadly, you will work closely with the Director of Finance to carry out the Finance team's goal of partnering cross-functionally to drive strong business outcomes at David.Financial Forecasting and Strategic PlanningOwn and iterate on the company operating model, driving insights across demand forecasts, P&L performance, and cash flow projections to support critical business decisions.Lead deep-dive analyses to continuously refine key performance indicators, uncover growth opportunities, and optimize financial outcomes.Act as a cross-functional business partner, seamlessly bridging key functions, such as Growth, Retail, and Supply Chain to align financial strategies with operational execution.Shape long-term strategic initiatives, influencing business decisions that drive sustainable growth and operational excellence.Assist in the creation of monthly and annual financial statements and reports.Corporate DevelopmentSupport M&A activities, including market research, financial modeling, valuation analysis, due diligence, and post-deal integration.Partner with company leadership on all capital raising efforts, preparing investor materials, building financial models, and managing due diligence.Assist in the creation of periodic investor and board update materials.Conduct strategic analyses of industry trends and competitive landscapes to inform company strategy and identify new growth levers.TreasuryMonitor cash balances to ensure sufficient liquidity for company operations.Project short-term and long-term cash flows to anticipate funding needs and optimize surplus cash for growth efforts.Support the management of key relationships with corporate and investment banking partners.Assist in optimizing the company's capital structure through a variety of debt and equity initiatives.What you'll bring:3+ years in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Strategic Finance.Expert Excel and financial modeling skills.Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics.Strong sense of ownership and meticulous attention to detail.High IQ/intellectual horsepower.A self-starting attitude with a love for executing on ideas and moving quickly.Humble, self-aware, and curious.A desire to help build an early-stage CPG company with a mission to create tools to increase muscle and decrease fat.Practicalities / Benefits:We work in the office 5 days per week in New York City - when culture lines up, it is fun to be in the office together.This is a full-time role.Salary: $150 - $200k per year, inclusive of cash bonus based on attainment of company targetsCompany equity opportunity100% covered Health, Vision, Dental Insurance401(k) + MatchAdditional perks, such as covered gym and commute expensesSubstantial and required PTOApplication Process:Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis.The target start date for this role is winter / spring 2025.
