Job Title: Cost Accountant/ or Senior Cost AccountantLocation: Greer, South CarolinaWork Type: Full time onsite Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Accountant to join our team. The cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing and managing the costs associated with the company's operations, ensuring accurate cost reporting, and providing insights to support decision-making. This role will play a critical part in budgeting, forecasting, and improving cost efficiency across the organization. Responsibilities:Cost Management:Collaborate with R&D and procurement departments to calculate the standard material costs for the US factory, standardized cost calculation principles, and perform standard cost accounting based on system requirements.Regularly maintain and update the standard cost data in the system based on the results of standard cost accounting.Conduct monthly PPV (Purchase Price Variance) analysis and update standard cost data promptly based on the reasons for variances to minimize PPV discrepancies.Material Variance Management:Work with the warehouse and manufacturing departments to organize inventory counts of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, and produce detailed inventory reports.Analyze the reasons for inventory discrepancies and adjust inventory management processes and data accordingly.Order Management:Collaborating with the planning department, monitor the issuance, execution, and completion of work orders in daily basis, and compile statistics on completion status.Conduct monthly clean-up of long-standing historical work orders and analyze the reasons affecting work order progress.Work with the production department to monitor ongoing work orders and produce progress reports.Expense Control:With crossed team collaboration, review detailed expense items, ensures proper classification and booking of expenses, and produce detailed expense reports for management team review.Standardize the application, reimbursement, approval, and related financial processing procedures for non-production materials, and improve existing processes.Produce monthly expense reports, organize monthly cost meetings, identify improvement projects, and drive their implementation.Accounts Payable:Establish an accounts payable ledger and confirm the accuracy of accounts payable with the commercial department.Reconcile internal accounts payable with the Beijing company and ensure timely financial settlement.Fixed Assets:Establish a fixed asset ledger and confirm the usage status of assets with the asset control department.• In accordance with the investment budget, examine the monthly investment status of fixed assets, and carry out accounting treatments based on the condition of the assets.Temporarily tasks assigned by leadership. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proficiency in both Chinese and English Communication.Over 3 years of experience in cost accounting within the manufacturing industry.In-depth understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.Experience with ERP systems and data analysis tools.Familiarity with cost accounting in compliance with US GAAP.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.Self-driven, willing to take challenges.Purse continuous improvement, prepare to roll up sleeve and get things done.Engaged, work under pressure, working with passion and sense of responsibility.Preferred Qualifications:CPA or CMA certification is preferred.Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.Work well in global and multi-culture environment is preferred.
