One of our clients in Mount Laurel, NJ recently opened up opportunities to accept teachers with certifications in English, Math, Social Studies, or Science, along with a certification for Teacher of Students with Disabilities, for our Transitional High School Program. We are seeking teachers who have experience with our population and are passionate about special education, particularly working with students aged 18-21.***** Please notate in the sub which position the candidate would like to be considered for.English Special Education Teacher - x1Math Special Education Teacher - x1History Special Education Teacher - x1Science Special Education Teacher - x1Our Client is committed to helping people with Autism and intellectual developmental disabilities, brain injury, and neurological conditions be productive members of the community.Our minimum requirements for teachers include a provisional K-6 certification and a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) certification. We also accept the Teacher of the Handicapped certification, which covers both the K-6 and TOSD requirements.The school operates Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 3 PM. We are open year-round, with breaks for standard holidays, winter and spring breaks, as well as extended summer breaks in June and August.Teachers will be in classroom sizes of up to 8 students. This is a specialized school dedicated to supporting students aged 18-21, with a focus on social, emotional, and vocational skill development.Teachers will have a ton of resources at their disposal ranging from either student having a 1:1 aide to also SLP, OT, PT, and BCBA.Teachers also will not have to "buy their own supplies" The Client will supply everything the teacher needs as well as all technology.Each teacher will go through a 3-week paid training class.*** Please note*** The students have frequent behaviors which include Elopement and Disrobing. All staff that is hired will go through crisis intervention training.
