Job Summary:As an Energy Advisor Specialist, you play a critical role in supporting the delivery of energy efficiency initiatives to business customers. Responsibilities include engaging with customers and contractors to promote energy-savings opportunities, analyzing data to identify prospects, documenting program activity, creating reports, shadowing senior energy advisors in the field, and conducting project inspections.Responsibilities:Customer & Contractor Outreach: Assist the Energy Advisor team in engaging contractors and business customers to identify and promote energy efficiency savings opportunitiesField Support: Shadow senior energy advisors during industrial and small business site visits and perform project inspections to ensure program standards and quality are being metData-Driven Insights: Analyze customer and contractor data to identify prospects and opportunities for deeper program participationContinuous Improvement: Collaborate with contractors to gather feedback and identify areas for enhancing program processes and resultsProgram Reporting: Create detailed reports on program participation, performance metrics, and outreach results, while maintaining accurate records in Salesforce and cloud storage systemsStakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with manufacturers, sales organizations, contractors, and other stakeholders to support program objectivesStrategic Initiatives: Assist with various special projects and initiatives that arise during the program yearSkills and Qualifications:Self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively manage tasksExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple prioritiesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Sharepoint)Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve project challenges effectivelyPreferred Experience:2-3 years of experience in energy efficiency, utility services, or business operationsFamiliarity with energy efficiency programs, electric/gas utilities, or the tradesKnowledge of industrial processes, supply chain logistics, or business operations is a plusPrevious experience working with contractors, manufacturers, or energy servicesEducation:Bachelors degree in a relevant field (preferred) OR High School Diploma with significant related experienceWorking ConditionsMust be able to lift 15 pounds at timesMust be comfortable driving and sitting for extended periodsMust be willing to travel frequently (including up to 3 overnight stays per year)Preferred candidates will be based in southwestern Illinois, with regular team meetings held at the clients office in Collinsville, IL, to support collaboration and on-site engagementWhy This Role:This position offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in energy efficiency program delivery, gain hands-on experience in the field, and contribute to meaningful sustainability initiatives.
