Job ***** Associate Safety Coordinator (EHS Engineer)***** Boston, MA 02118 (On Site)Pay ***** $30 - 38.68/hour on W2 (depending on experience/interview)Job ***** Contract Role (Possible contract extension OR Full Time Hire) ***** 8 AM - 5 PM Monday to FridayJob ***** The position will assist the Engineering Manager and the organization with the maintenance of safety programs at our Boston location and in accordance with corporate, local, State, and Federal regulatory compliance requirements.**Participating in Boston's Emergency ResponsePerform file creation, tracking, retention, and maintenance"”both paper and electronic; maintain industry reference documentationAssist in the preparation of Boston's safety-related meetings and prepare minutesInvestigate all adverse events at our Boston facility and documentation in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) specifications; escalate issues to management, as neededProvide simple and complex administrative support, such as the appropriate distribution of incoming paperwork/inquiries and assisting in production of queries for safety data for clientsConduct on-site Boston monthly safety inspections including but not limited to fire extinguishers, emergency eyewash and safety shower and satellite waste inspections.Maintain internal database of Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) for Boston's onsite chemicalsAssist with preparing product Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) for products.Compile Boston's safety data to assist with regulatory reports.** Ability to quickly learn new skills and apply new conceptsHigh proficiency with full Microsoft applications; database experienceFamiliar with Safety and Facilities management systems preferred, including but not limited to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001MA Grade 1 Industrial Wastewater Operator License preferredExperience in handling radioactive materials preferredAbility to multi-task and deal with shifting prioritiesStrong spoken and written communication skills; fluency in EnglishAble to wear emergency response protective equipment including chemical protective clothingBachelor's degree in life science-related fieldTwo years of related safety experience or related degree or certificationTwo years of experience as a lab safety professional"Russell Tobin offers eligible employees comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), a 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, identity theft protection, legal support, auto and home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with some preferred vendors."
