Launch Production SupervisorLocation : Sterling Heights, Michigan, United States ( Onsite )Long term contractPosition **Position Duties • Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work • Working Knowledge of Quality Standards to drive Customer Acceptance Line (CAL) objectives. • Drive Tip Level Board and Escalation Process • Support and drive PJO process with Team LeaderSkills *• Monitor andon occurrences. Be the first responder as secondary support • Through Process Confirmation, verify that the line is running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts • Support Continuous Improvement and coach problem resolution to the lowest level of the organization • Communication and recognition • Build Team Leader and Team Member capability • Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks • Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents • Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives • Identify sources of variation within a production environment effectively and efficiently • Support concern resolution with cross-functional teams, including the Quality department, production, and suppliers.Skills *Preferred Requirements • ** Bachelor's Degree • ***** o Body shop/stamping/paint/subassembly experience preferred o Safety and Quality experience preferred o Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles o Knowledge of constraint management principles o Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook) o Prior experience managing a unionized work forceExperience **• ** o Ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends o Ability to work independently with limited supervision o Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms safety, quality, and throughput o Strong organizational and administrative skills o Ability to multi-task o Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills • Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skillsExperience **Preferred Requirements • ** Bachelor's Degree • ***** o Body shop/stamping/paint/subassembly experience preferred o Safety and Quality experience preferred o Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles o Knowledge of constraint management principles o Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook) o Prior experience managing a unionized work forceEducation **HS diplomaEducation *Bachelors DegreeAdditional *Fully Onsite. The candidates need to have launch experience. This is a Launch position and is not a production position. Top three requirements/skills/** 1. First line supervisor for unionized hourly work force. 2. Someone who has worked with previously launch products. 3. Ability to work long hours, weekends, days/night without advance notice.
