Job Title: QC Inspector SupervisorPay: $32.00+ per hourLocation: Elk Grove Village, IL (onsite) The QC Inspector Supervisor is a hands-on position responsible for prioritizing and completing critical inspections while consistently meeting turnaround and quality requirements. This role involves leading a team, ensuring quality standards are met, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.Core Responsibilities:Prioritize and schedule work in a fast-paced environment, effectively delegating tasks to meet turnaround and quality requirements.Train and guide QC Inspectors, offering timely feedback and promoting continuous improvement and employee career growth.Participate in ongoing training and process improvement programs, along with periodic testing and performance evaluations.Review contracts, purchase orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and customer work instructions to ensure compliance.Adhere to internal documentation standards, including work orders, processing techniques, inspection reports, and company procedures.Perform dimensional and visual inspections and make accept/reject decisions during receiving, in-process, and final inspections.Operate precision measuring equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, bore and thread gauges, fixtures, and microscopes.Oversee department inventory control, housekeeping, and organizational initiatives.Manage company-wide QC equipment calibrations, including record-keeping, vendor relations, and procurement.Coordinate department troubleshooting activities and contribute to the resolution of issues.Support QA in non-conformance reports, corrective and preventive actions, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving activities.Provide cross-functional support to QCI and QA personnel, contributing to projects and peripheral assignments.Skills and Qualifications:Knowledge of quality assurance sampling plans, visual and dimensional examinations, and other test methods.In-depth understanding of quality systems, industry standard specifications, and processing capabilities.Ability to measure critical tolerances (e.g., +/- .00005-.0002) with accuracy and efficiency.Strong ability to lead, provide direction, and maintain accountability.Effective prioritization and task completion, even under pressure and tight deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve cross-functional issues with professionalism and diplomacy.Minimum Requirements:At least 4 years of experience in a lead, supervisory, or managerial quality control inspection position.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn custom production software.Experience evaluating and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.Preferred experience in aerospace/defense, avionics, medical, or similar industries, with a focus on critical, tight-tolerance measurements.High school diploma required; college coursework or a degree preferred.Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.Authorization to work in the U.S. under applicable legal criteria.Reports To: The QC Inspector Supervisor reports to the Sr. Quality Control Manager and oversees the QC Inspectors.
