Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Lead Diesel Mechanic located in Indianapolis, IN. We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible to perform skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy trucks, earth moving, and related construction equipment. Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefitsQualificationsInspects and runs diagnostics and performs repairs and scheduled maintenance on diesel/gasoline engines and other machineryHandles complex and major repairs on heavy machinery such as pavers, millers, rollers, bobcats and other company vehicles.Middle to advanced-level skilled Welder for all types of welding is a plus but not required.Ability to perform field service calls with the highest quality and urgency in mind.Maintain good communication with manager on equipment repairs and parts needed to complete repairs.Ability to work in a team and willing to be trained and train others.Maintain good relationships with those you work with.Perform repairs at job sites as the needs arise.Vehicle Maintenance and Equipment Maintenance skillsDiesel Mechanics expertiseExperience working with Heavy EquipmentProficiency in Preventive Maintenance tasksStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesGood communication and organizational skillsCertification in diesel mechanics or related field is a plusPrevious experience in a similar role is preferred
