Frontend Engineer

The roleAt Bezi, Frontend Engineers create the product that our users rely on as they build games. As a key member of the technical team, you will work with product and engineering teams to define, build, and ship delightful experiences that directly impact indie game studios and developers globally.This is a role for engineers with frontend and backend experience, strong product thinking, and care deeply about the end user experience.Sidekick uses the game developer's project, game engine documentation, and best practices to provide contextual suggestions and execute changes directly within the game engine. It's currently used to help prototype new concepts quickly, debug projects, and execute standardizable tasks, so small teams can iterate faster and spend more time on the meaty creative and technical parts of building a game. Sidekick currently supports Unity development and will support other popular game engines in the near future.Where youll make an **Communicate directly with customers to identify, build, test, and solve their pain pointsCollaborate cross-functionally with designers, product, and other engineers to design, implement, and iterate on new features and inform the product directionIterate quickly, bringing clarity to hard, ambiguous problemsEmpower studios and developers to build games faster, spending less time on the mundane, non-creative workUphold a high quality bar through code and design reviewsWhat you *4+ years of industry experienceDeep knowledge of ReactExperience implementing performant UI rendering very large amounts of dataExperience building large web app products that prioritize the end-user experienceComfortable building new, complete functionality independentlyInterest in AI coding **** you may have past experience building one or strong opinions on the best ways to leverage themAn interest in games, or even have developed your own games in UnityWe use Typescript, React, Tailwind CSS, MobX, on the frontend, and AWS services, Postgres, Vercel AI SDK, and Unity SDK on the backend.
