Quality Assurance Lead***** Warrens, WI Overview Our client, a well-established food processing facility, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Lead to join their team. This role is essential in ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of leading quality initiatives, overseeing daily quality control processes, and driving continuous improvements in product quality.**Supervise and mentor a team of quality inspectors to ensure effective and consistent execution of quality control activities.Assist in the implementation of quality assurance programs and ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP, SQF).Oversee product testing at various stages of production, from raw materials to finished goods, following established procedures.Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, testing results, corrective actions, and non-conformities, ensuring proper documentation for regulatory audits.Identify quality issues or non-conformities, assist in root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Lead internal audits, support external audits, and collaborate with third-party auditors to maintain compliance with quality standards.Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and enhancements in product quality. Implement best practices and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).Provide training and ongoing development to plant personnel to foster a culture of quality.Work closely with production, maintenance, and sanitation teams to uphold quality standards throughout the production process.Ensure food safety practices and regulatory compliance are consistently followed to mitigate risks related to product quality, foodborne illnesses, and contamination. Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum of 5 years of quality assurance experience in a food processing environment, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. HACCP certification, SQF Practitioner certification, and knowledge of food safety regulations are highly desirable.Skills & **Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS), GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.Experience conducting audits, inspections, and quality control tests.Excellent leadership and team management skills with a hands-on approach.Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and present findings to senior management.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QA software.Compensation $23-28/hr
