This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing New York City retail team as we open our new Bleecker Street store!Position Summary: The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in creating a profitable and customer-centric environment. They are primarily responsible for overseeing day-to-day store operations, supervising sales associates, and ensuring a high level of customer service. The Assistant Store Manager plays a critical role in maintaining store standards, managing inventory, and fostering a positive work environment that reflects the values and aesthetic of Loeffler Randall. They work closely with the Store Manager to drive sales, optimize team performance, and contribute to the overall success of the store.Essential Functions: Manage the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning, while maintaining a high standard of store cleanliness and organizationAssist the Store Manager in meeting and exceeding sales and payroll goals by closely monitoring daily performance and adjusting strategies as neededFoster productive customer relationships by providing an approachable, inspiring, and personalized shopping experienceSupport the sales team in delivering exceptional service that builds customer loyaltyLead and supervise sales associates, providing consistent coaching, feedback, and development opportunitiesEnsure the team is well-trained on product knowledge, store policies, and customer service standardsMonitor inventory levels, communicate priority products and needs to HQ, and ensure accurate stock counts by following proper procedures and training the team on inventory management processesUtilize key reporting tools to monitor store performance, provide insights to the Store Manager, and contribute to the development of strategies for consistent revenue growthAct as a brand ambassador, upholding Loeffler Randall's values and aesthetic across all customer interactions and store touchpointsAssist in planning and executing in-store events and community outreach efforts in collaboration with the Store Manager and HQ teamsEnsure all team members are fully trained in loss prevention policies and follow procedures to minimize shrinkageShare insights with the Store Manager in support of creating and maintaining a store schedule that ensures adequate coverage to support the customer experience while optimizing payroll costsUphold and enforce all store policies and procedures, providing training to team members and aiding in policy modifications when necessaryEscalate any facilities concerns or issues to the appropriate HQ partners or vendors, ensuring timely resolutionEducation and Experience:Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferredMinimum of 3 years of retail experience with 2 of those years in a supervisory roleKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience supervising teams in a retail environment, with a proven track record of driving performance to achieve KPI and sales goals.Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity effectively.Ability to relate easily to a variety of personalities and establish meaningful connections with both customers and team members.Familiarity with CRM tools and managing client relationships; experience with Shopify preferred.Styling experience is a plus, with the ability to provide guidance to customers and associates on product selection.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
