Southern Reins Logistics LLC is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to oversee the invoicing and collections process for our customers. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth back-office operations, the ideal candidate will take ownership of converting potential revenue into actual cash by understanding the sales process, anticipating potential issues, and ensuring timely and accurate billing.Key responsibilities include the creation and delivery of customer invoices, monitoring invoice status, managing collections, applying payments, and working directly with customers to resolve discrepancies. This role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate professionally with customers to maintain positive relationships while ensuring timely payments.We are looking for someone with experience in transportation or logistics, but we are open to training the right candidate who is driven, highly organized, and confident in working independently.Key **Create and deliver customer invoices promptly and accurately.Monitor invoice status and follow up on outstanding balances.Handle collections, working with customers to ensure timely payment.Apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies.Address and resolve billing disputes with customers.Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., sales, operations) to ensure invoice accuracy and prevent issues.Generate reports on aged receivables and cash flow trends.Qualifications & **Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process high volumes of invoices.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies.Excellent communication skills for coordinating with customers and internal teams.Experience in accounts receivable, freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation.Familiarity with industry terminology and transportation-related documents (e.g., rate confirmations, BOLs, customer invoices).Prior experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and payment platforms.Technical ***Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.Experience working with financial or accounting software.Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and platforms efficiently.
