Job Title: Senior Project Manager/PMO (Finance/ Compliance/Markets)Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)Duration: 12+ Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)Focus areas: Finance, Compliance, and Markets/Products.Responsibilities include stakeholder management, creating plans, handling issues, and independent work.Key skills: Project management, finance/markets/compliance knowledge, working independently, and ability to deal with senior stakeholders.The Senior PM/PMO is expected to provide project management support for the program by:Preparing concise Markets activity/progress reports adjusted to the audienceProviding check and challenge on activity/progress reports by other functionsUtilizing best practice PMO methodology (e.g., maintain plans, risk and issues, etc.) that fit stakeholders need.Driving end results of the project as a representative of MarketsFacilitating remediation-related engagement with the Markets product linesProactively tracking project progress against goalsPossess the knowledge, skills and experience to be able to recognize when problems surface or potential problems are loomingClearly articulating problems, bringing the right people together to solve problems and knowing when it has been properly addressed and closedPromotes partner involvement through effectively communicating project status across a varied set of stakeholdersDefining, teaching, and enforcing the use of good project management practices (i.e., resolving complex, interdependent activities into tasks and sub-tasks that are documented, monitored and controlled)Key Skills Required:Articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writingExtremely detail oriented and ability to both investigate deeply into content of the material but also look across the portfolioStrong interpersonal skills, with evidence of working in collaboration across large organizations, including a proactive and no surprises approach in communicating issues/requests/escalation.Ability to drive progress issue-by-issue and ensure deadlines are metExperience managing inter-department dependencies (e.g., working with Compliance, Technology, Internal Audit, etc.)Ability to plan and organize, working well both in a team setting and independently.Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in driving positive and sustained changeDemonstrated ability to think critically, strategically and analytically and to creatively problem solveProficiency in Word, Excel, PPT, MS ProjectKey Skills Preferred:Markets knowledge (e.g., risk and controls, trade lifecycle, products, etc.) a plusKnowledge of Finance regulatory reporting a plus (e.g., Call Report, 2052A, etc.)10-15 years of project management experience.Need expertise in finance/compliance/markets.Experience in regulatory projects is helpful but not mandatory.Project management experience is more important than consent order experience.Familiarity with regulatory processes (e.g., AML, KYC, sanctions) is helpful.Finance experience such as derivative vs. cash trades knowledge is beneficial.EEO:"Mindlance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of - Minority/Gender/Disability/Religion/LGBTQI/Age/Veterans."
