Job DescriptionThe Account Manager position is a key role within the overall supply chain organization. They will focus on scheduling inbound and outbound requests for an assigned processing center. Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to balance short term priorities, and the ability to problem-solve are a necessity. Key objectives will be supporting the process to achieve/improve/exceed target budget/forecasts for volume, value quality of purchased supply.Duties and responsibilitiesFinancially responsible for supply margins and account performanceManages inventory (Thrift/ Library) for their respective PCCreates and manages load requestsCreates and manages buying planRoutinely reports on performance and trends with suppliersReviews and approves all supplier invoicesMonitors accounts payable to comply with agreed termsNegotiates pricing and account terms as neededAssesses potential risks associated with suppliers, such as supply chain disruptions or quality issues, and develop risk mitigation strategiesStays informed about market trends, prices, and new product developments to make informed purchasing decisionsAnalyzes costs related to purchasing, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize procurement processesResponsible for managing the quality of the supplyGains a deep understanding of each account's particularsConducts onsite meetings with suppliersManages Gaylord & Pallet supplySubject matter expert in both Thrift and LibraryAttends conferences and tradeshows as neededHelps troubleshoot supplier portal questionsQualificationsMinimum of 1 year Supply Chain (planning & procurement) experienceMinimum of 2 years of experience in developing and maintaining customer relationshipsProficient in computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)CRM experience a plus
