Design Engineer** Albany, NYPosition *Manufacturing company in the Capital District is seeking a talented and driven Design Engineer to join their engineering team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and testing of innovative products that enhance our offerings. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Engineering Manager to deliver high-quality solutions, ensuring product performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction.Key *Develop and implement design verification plans for new product designs.Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure project success and drive continuous improvement.Create test procedures, setups/rigs, and comprehensive documentation and lab reports.Apply engineering analysis, critical thinking, and creativity to solve complex problems.Master industry codes and standards to ensure compliance.Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential product issues.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet customer and OEM specifications.Incorporate target cost methodology into the development of new products.Consider production methods and limitations during the design process.Assist with material sourcing and selection to meet product requirements.Produce part drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) using Creo.Qualifications and **Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.2-5 years of relevant engineering experience.Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with expertise in Creo required.
