PLC Programmer ***** We are seeking a PLC Programmer to join our team in West Chicago, IL. This role involves programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining PLC-driven automation systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in PLC programming, electrical troubleshooting, and automation controls, with a focus on optimizing system performance and minimizing downtime.Key **Develop, program, and maintain PLC systems for manufacturing and packaging equipment.Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure optimal equipment performance.Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to improve automation efficiency and implement system upgrades.Diagnose and resolve PLC/HMI issues, including modifying ladder logic and control systems as needed.Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while implementing process improvements.Support preventive maintenance efforts by developing and executing electrical and control system maintenance plans.Maintain accurate documentation of programming changes, wiring diagrams, and system configurations.Train and assist maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and operating automation systems.Qualifications & *2+ years of experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control circuits, and automation technology.Experience with HMI development, SCADA systems, and industrial networks is a plus.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and machine diagrams.Familiarity with GMP, OSHA, and industrial safety regulations.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure.Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, CMMS software, etc.).Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.Work Environment & Physical *Manufacturing environment with exposure to high-speed equipment, noise, and temperature variations.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and work in confined spaces or elevated locations.Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call as needed.Compensation & **Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).Paid time off, holiday pay, and opportunities for career growth.If youre a skilled PLC Programmer looking for a hands-on role in a dynamic manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you!
