TITLE: Event Sales and Service ManagerJOB SUMMARYResponsible for event management from pre-sales client communications/interactions throughout pre-event, day-of event, and post-event phases to ensure consistent, high-level events. Ensures events provide seamless experiences for clients. Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue through event bookings, up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events.COMPENSATION:Competitive Base Salary PLUS CommissionREQUIREMENTS AND CANDIDATE PROFILE:Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in the event management industryDegree from an accredited university with a focus in Hospitality, Hotel or Restaurant Management, Business Administration, Communications or related majorExcellent communication, MS Office, Google Workspace, and presentation skillsJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:This position primarily handles events (weddings, corporate, special occasions, etc.) of varying sizes and complexities.Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue by securing event bookings, up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events.Ensures events provide a seamless experience for clients, coordinating activities from marketing/sales, concept/design, through service and operations.Responsible for preparing all event documentation, coordinating with internal departments/teams, partners and clients to ensure consistent, high-level events.CORE WORK ACTIVITIES:Marketing/Sales Outreach, Lead/Client Management, Management of Event Logistics and OperationsWorks with client to secure new event bookings/sales, including up-selling products and services throughout the event processUses his/her judgment to integrate current trends in event management and event designWorks directly with new leads and clients from pre-event through post-event phases, coordinating with both internal/external teams for the execution of detailsIdentifies operational challenges associated with events and determines how to best work with the staff and customer to solve these challenges and/or develop alternative solutionsParticipates in customer site inspections and assists with the sales process as necessaryFacilitates various meetings as necessary (Banquet Event Order meeting, etc)Coordinates and communicates event details both verbally and in writing to the clients and operational teams/partnersEnsures billing accuracy and conducts bill reviews with clients prior to processing the final billActs as liaison between field teams, partners and customers throughout the event process (pre-event, event, post-event)Ensures that events progress seamlessly by following established procedures, collaborating with other employees, partners, vendors and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and consistencyPerforms other duties as assigned to meet business needsA SUCCESSFUL EVENT SALES AND SERVICE MANAGER...Provides exceptional customer service and empowers others to do the sameSets a positive example for client/guest relations...makes courteous, supportive presence known to customer at all times during this processAdheres to all standards, policies, and proceduresConverts new client leads into booked events to increase revenueFollows up with customer professionally at all timesResponds to and handles questions, problems and complaintsStays available to solve problems and/or suggest alternatives to previous arrangementsWorks to continuously improve customer service by integrating feedback and personal judgment into action plansEmphasizes client satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focuses on continuous improvementInteracts with clients to obtain feedback on product quality and service levelsEnsures others understand expectations and parameters for event activitiesLeads Event Management TeamsConducts formal pre- and post-event meetings as required to review/communicate group needs and feedbackAbout Our Company:Here at BEL Event Productions, we focus on producing events inspired by our clients visions, crafting each event through the expertise of our truly artisan event production team.
