This role also involves business development and client relationship management.Essential FunctionsProject Management & ExecutionOversee construction management, contract administration, scheduling, change order management, and quality assurance.Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with specifications and contract requirements.Evaluate contractor cost proposals and develop preliminary cost estimates.Authorize/approve purchase requisitions and change requests within signature authority.Provide day-to-day supervisory leadership over professional construction management staff.Client & Stakeholder ManagementServe as the primary interface with clients, regulatory agencies, and oversight representatives.Strengthen corporate relationships with clients and improve project profitability.Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned client groups or geographical areas.Maintain liaison with clients, consultants, and contractors to facilitate seamless construction activities.Team Leadership & Safety ComplianceImplement and enforce company safety programs to ensure a safe work environment.Ensure adherence to company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards.Apply innovative and effective management techniques to optimize team performance.Attend industry networking events to foster relationships and business growth.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.12+ years of experience managing municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects (e.g., treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, tunnels).8+ years of leadership experience, including client relations, business development, project execution, and staff supervision.CCM (Certified Construction Manager) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required, but candidates willing to obtain certification within 12 months will be considered.In-depth knowledge of construction methods, labor agreements, negotiations, and union jurisdiction.Strong understanding of corporate and industry standards, processes, and their impact on projects.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Business acumen and P&L management experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience in contractor scheduling analysis, estimating, and risk management.Strong track record in successfully delivering large-scale heavy civil and infrastructure projects.Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other scheduling tools.BenefitsHealth & InsuranceMedical, dental, and vision insurance options.100% company-paid benefits for Employee Life Insurance, AD&D, Spouse & Dependent Life, STD, LTD, Employee Assistance Program, and Health Advocate.Additional voluntary benefits, including accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance.Paid Time Off & LeaveFlexible Time Off Program (Vacation & Personal Time).Paid Sick and Safe Leave.Paid Parental Leave Program.10 Paid Holidays.Retirement & Additional Perks401(k) Plan with company matching up to 4%.Employee Referral Program.
