We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence, and we are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Manager to join our team and help us continue to deliver top-tier service to our guests.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, a skilled communicator, and possess a deep understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and staff management. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently, and consistently meets our high standards of food quality and safety.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including chefs, line cooks, and dishwashers, ensuring they follow procedures and maintain a positive work environment.Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to enhance skills and performance.Develop and implement kitchen processes, including inventory control, food preparation, and cleaning protocols.Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to, including food handling, storage, and sanitation standards.Monitor food costs and control waste by implementing portion control and inventory management practices.Collaborate with the executive chef to create, modify, and implement menu items that align with the restaurant's concept and seasonal offerings.Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment at all times, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.Order supplies and ingredients in a timely manner, ensuring adequate stock levels without excess waste.Handle customer concerns or special requests regarding food preparation, diet restrictions, or allergies.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Executive Chef, or in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment.In-depth knowledge of kitchen procedures, food preparation, and cooking techniques.Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of food safety regulations and certification (e.g., ServSafe or equivalent).A passion for quality food and a commitment to delivering an outstanding dining experience.Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for 8 - 10 hours, bend, stoop, twistPreferred Qualifications:Culinary degree or equivalent certification.Must currently be in restaurant/kitchen operations3+ years of experience desiredExperience with declining budgets and managing kitchen expensesFamiliarity with inventory management systems and kitchen technology.Why Join Us?At the Monven Group, we offer a dynamic and supportive work environment where creativity and passion for food are encouraged.
