Bankruptcy Paralegal** Manhattan, NY (Hybrid) Legal Services $90,000- 110,000/year (DOE)About Our *Our client, a highly regarded law firm in Manhattan, is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal to join their team. This role involves supporting attorneys in complex bankruptcy matters, including Chapter 11 cases, creditor representations, and nationwide federal bankruptcy proceedings.If you are an organized and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in bankruptcy law, apply today!Key *Prepare, file, and serve pleadings in bankruptcy cases, ensuring compliance with all filing deadlines.Manage case calendars, task lists, and critical date trackers to support teams handling complex Chapter 11 representations and creditor cases.Assist attorneys in understanding local court rules, procedures, and case management practices.Draft and file proofs of claims, track claims, and assist with the claims reconciliation process.Draft and prepare court filings, including retention and fee applications.Maintain and track billable hours, review billing records, and assist in the preparation of fee applications.Monitor and review case dockets to identify, summarize, and circulate relevant pleadings.Support attorneys with hearing and trial preparation, including organizing materials and coordinating appearances.Respond to creditor inquiries and communicate with attorneys, clients, and other professionals on case-related matters.Assist with special projects and ongoing client development initiatives.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.2-5 years of legal administrative experience, with a focus on bankruptcy and restructuring.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required).Experience with PACER and EFC filing systems.*** Experience with Westlaw and LexisNexis.Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.Prior bankruptcy experience required.Additional **This role offers a hybrid work schedule in Manhattan, NY, allowing for a balance of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.Competitive salary based on experience.Exposure to high-profile bankruptcy cases and legal proceedings.Hybrid work schedule for enhanced work-life balance.Professional development and networking opportunities.Equal Opportunity Employer ***Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants, regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or veteran status, in accordance with applicable laws.
