Electrical Designer

***** Provide a summary of the role, what success in the position looks like, and how this role fits into the organization overall.ResponsibilitiesPerform study and design work for projects that may include existing facility evaluations, feasibility studies, design, cost estimating, and similar functions.Field survey to identify site conditions.Code review and compliance.Engineering calculations including electrical load calculations, conduit and electrical system sizing, wire sizing, and equipment capacity.Coordination with design work of other disciplines.QualificationsA.   Education, Experience, and RegistrationPrefer a minimum of an associate's degree in electrical design, science, energy analysis, mathematics or other technically related field. Or a minimum of 5 years' experience in industry with E-Houses, PDC's, LV, MC, MCC's, Switchgear and other power distribution applications.B.   SkillsHighly proficient with AutoCAD/Revit, SolidWorks as it pertains to preparing electrical drawings.Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.Able to layout electrical systems, one lines, and panel schedules.Able to work as part of a design team in a collaborative environment.Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adhere to new standards and technical requirements.Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects.Effective English written and oral communication skills.Expected to have a thorough understanding of electrical and lighting systems.Familiar with construction document organization and preparation
