Sunrise Brands, LLC is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Associate Designer or Designer. The ideal candidate is a driven team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment!POSITION SUMMARYWork with Design Director to develop a full contemporary collection from concept through production. Provides support in both creative, practical, and technical aspects of the design process.**ï‚· Work with Design Director to identify key ideas and images for seasonal concept and create design boardsï‚· Research and shop the market to identify newness and innovation in trends, silhouettes, prints, fabrics and trimsï‚· Understand the design aesthetic and translate it into appropriate productï‚· Create flat sketches and garment construction details in Illustratorï‚· CAD color and print into sketches on Photoshop/Illustratorï‚· Manages tech pack creation in Web PLM (Centric) to be sent overseas for sample developmentï‚· Create design development specs for tech packs - must be able to measure samplesï‚· Help CAD team to create embellishment/sweater stitch layoutsï‚· Log and send comments for all design submits (L/D's, S/O's, Fabrics, etc.)ï‚· Keep organized binders of development, fabrics, etc.ï‚· Send, receive, and track packages to/from factories and vendorsï‚· Responsible for sample management at proto and SMS stage - track packages and maintain sample chartsï‚· Attend design meetings with senior managementï‚· Attend proto fittings and take detailed notes to relay to overseas factoriesï‚· Assist in production fittings by observing and recording design commentsï‚· Steam and organize samples seasonally at proto stageï‚· Assist sales/merchandising team to maintain product information in Centric, assist with showroom set up, and assist in NuOrder photoshootsï‚· Work cross functionally with production team to ensure production BOMs are accurate, and to make certain that our final product is up to design's standardsï‚· Adhere to seasonal time and action calendars, ensuring all deadlines are met**ï‚· 3-6 years of design experience within the contemporary fashion industryï‚· Proficient in Excel, Illustrator, and Photoshopï‚· Experience in Web PLM (Centric) is a plusï‚· Technical knowledge of garment constructionï‚· Organized with an astute attention to detailï‚· Efficient worker with the ability to multitaskWork Location and Schedule:ï‚· This job will require that you work from our office in New York, NY, Mon - Friday during normalbusiness hours.
