We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.Battery Cell Test TechnicianWe are looking for a cell test technician to execute a variety of battery cell tests to characterize Archer's battery cells. As part of the cell engineering team, you will work closely with analysis engineers, modeling engineers, and test engineers to collect the data needed to qualify new and existing cell designs, along with parameterize our cell models. As a key contributor to cell test operations, you will coordinate and maintain on-going cell tests, plan and execute new tests, and communicate and document work in an organized manner.What you'll **Conduct cell electrical tests using a variety of electrical and environmental battery test equipmentMaintain long term cell tests spanning weeks to monthsFabricate or repair test equipment and fixturesConduct simple physical and mechanical tests on battery cellsContribute to documentation of testing procedures and resultsPerform periodic calibration and maintenance of testing equipmentPractice safe handling of live, energized battery cells and follow safe lab practicesWhat you *3+ years of hands-on electrical testing experience in a laboratory or industry environmentExperience with data acquisition, test engineering, data analysisPractical knowledge of electrical systems and thermal systemsA first-principles problem solving approachAwareness of laboratory hazards and adherence to lab safety practicesDesired ****Experience with battery cell testing and chemistryArbin, Neware, Maccor, or Biologic cycler experience is desiredExperience with battery module or pack testingHands-on experience in R&D tooling, machining, or equipment fabricationFamiliarity with data analysis tools such as Python, MATLAB, or similarExperience with DO-160G, DO-311A, UL1642, UN38.3Experience writing testing documentation or SOPsArcher is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to job applicants with physical or mental disabilities, and those with sincerely held religious beliefs.
