We aim to help both sides of the market increase efficiency, reduce cost, and improve their bottom line by streamlining their material management workflow. We currently have both contractors and vendors using the platform procuring tens of millions of dollars in construction materials a month through the platform.Position SummarySubBase is looking to hire an energetic, proactive, and highly motivated individual to join full time as a founding member of the sales development team working directly alongside our Head of Sales. This role is for someone who wants to be part of an exciting start-up, solving complicated challenges that contractors struggle with everyday. As the first Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for building and managing a pipeline of specialty contractors as well as contributing to the efficiency of the sales process. Your role will be critical to the success and growth of the company. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate, driven, curious, hungry to learn, and wants to accelerate their career development in the crucible of a hyper growth startup. You will work closely with our marketing and sales teams to develop and execute goals/strategies that drive revenue growth.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for reaching out to and qualifying new potential clients and working with the rest of the sales team to help guide a prospect from initial touch points to becoming a customerYou will work directly with the Head of Sales to build and manage a pipeline of prospects as well as contribute to the efficiency of the sales process specifically around customer acquisition strategy, the qualification process, growth targets and other key initiativesOwn a pipeline of specialty contractors and manage and qualify inbound leads via phone, email, and other mediaAttend in person industry events and trade shows to generate new leads and network with potential and existing customers.Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop sales collateral and campaigns.Implement processes and tools to improve conversion and streamline the customer acquisition processYoull have latitude to experiment and innovate to drive results and push the business forwardRequired Skills/ExperienceBachelors degree or 2-3 years of relevant B2B SaaS sales experienceFast learner who can adapt to change quickly - this is a fast-paced, rapidly evolving (but fun!) work environmentAbility to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectivelyHustler with a competitive drive to hit and exceed goalsNaturally creative with an excitement to try new things and surface ideasSelf-starter who can work independently or as part of a teamStrong interpersonal and written communication skillsA strong passion for technology and its potential to transform the construction industryNice to HavesKnowledge of the construction industry and jargonFamiliarity with HubSpot, Salesforce or similar CRMs and sales management toolsExperience working in the construction technology spaceWhat You'll GetCompetitive salary plus performance bonuses ($100K OTE)Early-stage employee equity - 🚀 rocket ship start-upTop medical, dental and vision benefitsA dynamic and passionate work environmentOpportunity to climb rapidly as the company growsEmpowerment to make decisions, drive change, and disrupt a multi-billion dollar industryIf you are a motivated self-starter with a passion for sales and technology, we would love to hear from you.
