On behalf of our client, the Alworth Memorial Fund, Growth By Design is conducting the search for its next Executive Director.The Marshall H. & Nellie Alworth Memorial Fund is a well-established organization with a rich history of empowering students through scholarships. For over 75 years, the organization has championed the dreams of students across the region, supporting them in pursuing higher education in STEM fields and achieving their potential. Rooted in a mission of service, the Alworth Memorial Fund aims to grow its impact and adapt to the changing educational landscape, ensuring these efforts remain relevant and meaningful.The next Executive Director will join a collaborative and mission-driven team committed to making a difference in the lives of students. This leadership role provides a unique opportunity to guide the Alworth Memorial Fund into its next chapter while maintaining a strong foundation.THE OPPORTUNITY:As Executive Director, you will:Lead with Vision: Embrace change and technology while honoring the organization's legacy. Partner with the Board of Directors to align strategy with mission, driving innovation and organizational growth. Demonstrate visionary leadership and strategic thinking in guiding the organization.Inspire and Connect: Cultivate meaningful relationships with schools, students, parents, and community stakeholders. Your ability to foster trust and create partnerships will be instrumental in increasing scholarship outreach and impact. Exhibit strong networking skills to expand the Fund's reach.Operate Efficiently and Effectively: Oversee day-to-day operations, including scholarship application processes, financial management, and program evaluation. Serve as a self-starter and problem-solver, ensuring timely and efficient operations in a small-office environment with one part-time staff member. Apply financial acumen to manage resources responsibly.Navigate Challenges:Address the transition following a passionate and long-serving ED. Build new relationships while maintaining the trust of existing stakeholders. Balance Board reliance on the ED while encouraging collaborative solutions and strategic autonomy.Embody Cultural Competence:Demonstrate sensitivity and inclusivity in serving students from diverse backgrounds, ensuring equitable access to opportunities.
