We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer who is committed to lifelong learning and creating value through hard work.The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for monitoring and reporting on the quality of manufactured optical components. This role frequently interacts with customers for quality-related matters and interprets and assesses product adherence to quality-related component specifications. The Senior Quality Engineer will maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.ResponsibilitiesWork independently or with internal teams to establish and document root cause and implement corrective action for customer-required SCAR, NCR, 8D, etc.Construct First Article Inspection documentation (FAI) and perform evaluation sign off as neededProvide engineering level support to quality inspectors responsible for compiling customer data packagesProvide resources for and participates in customer supplier auditsRegularly conduct internal ISO audits and supports annual ISO audit as a member of the ISO core teamDevelop, practice, and provide guidance in metrology processes associated with optical componentsSpend extended periods of time in a clean room environment supporting optical component inspection as neededPrepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trendsComplete QA specific engineering initiatives or other duties as assigned by the QA manager individually or as a team effortEducation & Experience Requirements:Minimum B.S. degree in Engineering or Applied ScienceThree (3) years of Quality Engineering experience desired; less than 3 years of direct Quality Engineering will be considered with demonstrated hands-on technical manufacturing or Quality-related experience.RequirementsFamiliarity with MS Project, GD&T, and CAD/CAM softwareExperience with Matlab, MetroPro, MX is desiredFamiliarity with Gauge R&R, MSA, and SPCWorking knowledge of root cause analysis methods; e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.Working knowledge of optics manufacturing/metrology processes, tooling and equipment preferredAbility to work and contribute in a team settingAbility to effectively lead a teamAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projectsMust be creative while thinking systematicallyStrong verbal and written communication skillsA highly developed set of interpersonal skillsEnthusiastic, cooperative and positive behaviorExcellent problem-solving skillsAbility to collect, interpret, document, and present dataAbility to assess complex issues and develop appropriate solutionsSalary Range$63K to $93K annuallyJK Executive Strategies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
