The role of a Field Applications engineer is to be a trusted advisor and consultant for system level evaluation, simulation, design in and bring up of Empower solutions into customer systems. It includes developing board level power solutions ranging from demonstration platforms to custom solutions for a wide range of applications. We are literally turning power upside down.Skills and **Minimum 10 years of experience in board level power designBSEE required; MSEE in power electronics preferredProven track record of fostering long term relationships with strategic customers based on trust, expertise and professionalismKnowledge of DC-DC converter system design and analysisHands-on experience with laboratory equipmentExperience in PCB design and optimization (schematic and layout using Cadence Preferred, Allegro OrCAD)Experience using simulation and design tools including Spice, Simplis, ADS and other SI/PI tools.Experience in PDN and power integrity analysis a plusKnowledge of programming languages and tools for automated testing and prototyping such as python
