Business Development ManagerPosition Summary Our client, a full-service logistics management company, is looking for a Business Development Manager to focus on hunting for new business and maintaining a current book of business in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage. The duties include identifying and sourcing new customer industry targets, prospecting and maintaining defined quotas and sales objectives, growing, and developing a sales pipeline and delivering weekly updates based on activity.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Getting new business onboarded by any means necessaryEntertaining new prospects and current clientsTravel as necessaryDevelop a strategy focused on revenue and profitability growth and customer satisfactionConduct research to identify new markets and customer needsBuild long-term relationships with new and existing customersArrange business meetings with prospective clientsPromote the company's services, addressing or predicting clients' objectivesKeep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.Develop and grow a healthy pipeline of opportunities that align with company targets and objectivesPresent sales solutions to prospective customers while ensuring the company is well positioned within the marketQualificationsWork ExperienceRequired:3+ years of brokerage/3PL sales experienceExperience managing multiple customers simultaneouslyLTL and Final Mile experience, or Warehouse and International container sales experiencePrefered:5+ years of brokerage/3PL sales experienceEducationRequired:High school diploma or equivalentPrefered:Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related fieldTechnical KnowledgeRequired: Well versed with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePointStrong typing skillsAdditional Skills/NotesRequired:Ability to remain patient and calm under pressureTop-notch customer service skillsSkill to quickly pivot from one task to another and reprioritize throughout the dayStellar persuasion skills and ability to close salesAbility and willingness to travel as neededPre-existing book of business that can be transferred to the companyAbility to read, speak, write, and understand English in a professional mannerPrefered:Ability to commute to our Boyertown office as neededPhysical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
