ChoiceLight provides robust fiber infrastructure to serve the local businesses, education and healthcare institutions, and government agencies in Elkhart, Marshall, and St. Joseph Counties in Indiana.The primary role of the Business Development Representative is to collaborate with the ChoiceLight team to develop and execute business development strategies to increase awareness of and generate new connections to our dark fiber network. The successful candidate will be confident promoting ChoiceLight's value proposition to C-level and Director level decision makers in a variety of subscriber segments, including businesses, governmental agencies, and non-profit organizations.Responsibilities• Conduct market research to identify potential subscribers.• Stay informed of industry trends and competitive insights to identify new opportunities for business growth.• Initiate contact with potential subscribers, present the benefits of our network, and generate interest.• Qualify leads and assess their needs and pain points.• Identify, coordinate, and attend community and networking events as a ChoiceLight ambassador. • Schedule and coordinate activities and events that promote ChoiceLight. • Manage stewardship efforts with existing and potential subscribers to build and maintain relationships and ensure subscriber satisfaction. • Manage participation at conferences and expos.• Maintain the CRM database system and produce related reports.• Support the coordination and production of marketing materials (print, digital, web). • Assist in the preparation of internal and external proposals and reports.• Assist with writing, editing, and proofreading materials, including quarterly newsletters, press releases and other communications.• Ensure brand consistency through all marketing and project materials. • Work closely with the Business Development Manager to develop tailored proposals and strategies for onboarding subscribers. • Assist in finalizing sales agreements and ensuring a smooth transition for new subscribers. QualificationsThe Business Development Representative must be a team player, proactive worker, and mission supporter. They should enjoy challenges, be comfortable with tight schedules and be able to prioritize tasks independently. The ideal Representative should possess the following experience, skills, and characteristics:• An associate or bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, telecommunications or a related field or comparative level of experience. • Proficient with Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PPT) and Salesforce CRM.• Proficient in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn). • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Proven ability to generate leads and close sales.• Knowledge of the broadband industry or willingness to learn it.• A self-motivated, results-oriented, and customer-focused attitude.• Available for marketing events and activities that fall outside of the 8-5 workday and frequent travel between St. Joseph, Marshall, and Elkhart counties.Qualified individuals interested in joining an established mission-based organization with competitive benefits should e-mail their resume and a cover letter detailing their relevant experience and why they are a good fit for this role as attachments to Bridget O'Toole, VP of Finance and Administration at botoole@.
