Join a talented team at Yonkers Contracting as a Project Engineer with 6-10 years of experience for a $500+ million construction project in the Bronx.Essential DutiesWork with the project team in designing, engineering, and constructionCoordinate and interface with NYSDOT and the MTADevelop construction means and methods, working drawings, and submittalsProcess and track change ordersCoordinate material and equipment deliveriesProcess transmittals, submittals, RFI's and change ordersEnsure compliance with all appropriate standards, codes, and specificationsSubcontractor coordination and monitor for contract adherenceResearch and resolve engineering and construction problemsContribute to effective communication between field and project teamEssential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities6-10 years of heavy highway/bridge construction experienceB.S. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering preferredKnowledge of NYSDOT standard specificationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsPrepare clear and concise reports and lettersOSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30Must meet requirements to work in the US (form I9)Valid driver's licenseSalary *****$90k -165k - based on experience, education, and trainingPhysical Demands/Working Conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):Work in varying weather and temperaturesSit and/or stand for extended periodsManual dexterity and eye-hand coordination needed to use a variety of office equipment such as computer, telephones, calculators, copiers, and drafting equipmentVisual acuity to perform drafting, review plans, & perform other essential functions of the jobOccasionally walk on uneven terrain and/or across bridgesMay be required to work more than 40 hours a week and/or work irregular hours"Yonkers Contracting policies and decisions on employment and promotion are based on merit, qualifications, performance, and business needs.
