CMC is working with a new client to hire an Electrical Systems Engineer with Avionic experience for an on-site role in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on a 12-month contract position. The engineer will support aircraft in the final assembly line and experimental operations, ensuring electrical systems meet the company's safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.About the Role - Assist in supplier qualification activities, including environmental and EMI qualification reviews, ensuring compliance requirements are met for systems and equipment undergoing testing. Oversee the preparation and validation of type documentation required for certification, providing expertise to resolve non-compliance issues and supporting the release of test plans and reports in alignment with program milestones. Collaborate closely with DER to establish and demonstrate compliance with applicable technical, programmatic, and certification requirements. Provide technical support for on-site prototype activities and production lines as a sustaining engineer, assisting in the preparation, verification, and integration of certification plans and oversight activities to ensure compliance. Conduct and support AW609 electrical testing and analysis to demonstrate compliance with certification requirements, integrating supplier qualification findings in accordance with program priorities and departmental best practices.ResponsibilitiesSupport supplier qualification activities, including environmental qual, EMI qual reviews. Ensure conformity requirement are covered for the systems/equipment under compliance testing. - 30%Coordinate the substantiation of type documentation required to meet the approved certification basis, providing expertise for resolution of non-compliance, support releasing of test plans/reports in accordance to program milestones. - 20%Work closely with DER in finding/showing compliance to applicable technical, programmatic and certification requirements. - 25%Support preparation, verification and integration of the applicable certification plans, reports and oversight activities which show compliance. - 25%Qualifications -Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent specialization.Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering environment, preferably aerospace. Combination of education and/or experience which would permit performance of essential duties and responsibilities.Required SkillsGood knowledge of aircrafts electrical systems installations as well as the standard aeronautical design, qualification, and certification procedures.Proven experience to create engineering reports, communicate them efficiently across a diverse, complex, and multicultural organization.General understanding of engineering methodology, tools, and processes.Communication and presentation skills, ability to effectively communicate to different levels of the organization.FAA Certification processes experience is a plus.Domestic and International travelling for short periods may be required on an occasional basis.Preferred Skills - MS Office package, PLM tools (VPM, DBT, ENOVIA), SAP (fundamentals); CAD - SoldWorks, Catia V5 (Preferred)
