Political Law Compliance Paralegal - Holtzman Vogels DC or Northern Virginia OfficeWashington, D.C. /Virginia office of Holtzman Vogel has an immediate opening for a Political Law Compliance Paralegal to manage corporate reports, lobbying registration and reporting, charity reporting, and candidate and PAC reports. The position requires strong research and communication skills, outstanding attention to detail, and ability to manage complex reporting and filing deadlines. This position is an in-office position from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional overtime.Candidates will be expected **Communicate with clients to compile information necessary to prepare draft reports;Work with supervising attorneys to finalize reports;Help to design and implement filing systems for new clients and jurisdictions;Assist clients with implementing internal accounting and controls;Prepare calendars with reporting schedules;Respond to client questions about reporting obligations and filings;Leverage analytical skills to complete complex tasks;Effectively manage multiple time-sensitive projects; andWork independently to research, analyze, and synthesize information.RequirementsMust be proficient in Microsoft Suite, Excel, FECFile, and federal and state electronic lobbying disclosure filing systems.Strong communication, writing and research skills.Strong time-management skills and attention to detail.Must have at least three years of experience at a law firm in this capacity.Holtzman Vogel protects the highest profile voices in business, politics and advocacy.
