Position: Group Sales SpecialistSalary: $55,000 to $65,000Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, Vacation, Sick time & Mental Health DaysVisit Boulder, the Convention and Visitors Bureau is the official destination marketing organization for the City of Boulder. As a sales and marketing organization, the main objective of Visit Boulder is to strengthen the local economy by inspiring visitors to connect with Boulders vibrant landscape and unique culture. The Group Sales Specialist, reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, provides essential administrative and logistical support to the group sales team in promoting Boulder as a premier location for meetings, conferences, and events. This role is responsible for managing sales inquiries, coordinating client activities, maintaining sales databases, and ensuring smooth communication between internal teams, clients, and hospitality partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting sales efforts in a dynamic destination marketing environment.Key Responsibilities:Administrative & Sales SupportManage and maintain the customer relationship management (CRM) system by entering leads, tracking communications, and updating client records.Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and sales reports.Schedule and coordinate meetings, site visits, and conference calls for the sales team and clients.Maintain sales materials, including brochures, presentations, and digital assets.Research and prospect targeted list of meeting and event professionals on daily basis and accurately track traces in CRM Research and suggest enhancements for meeting webpages to make them more useful for meeting and event professionalsClient & Partner CoordinationAssist in coordinating site visits and familiarization (FAM) tours, including booking accommodations, transportation, and dining experiences.Communicate with hotel partners, venues, and service providers to gather information and availability for client requests.Follow up with clients and partners to ensure smooth event planning and execution.Event & Trade Show LogisticsSupport the planning and execution of sales events, trade shows, and industry conferences by managing logistics, registrations, and travel arrangements.Assist in assembling and shipping promotional materials, sales kits, and giveaways.Track event participation, expenses, and return on investment (ROI) data for reporting purposes.Represent Visit Boulder at local tradeshows and partner eventsReporting & Data ManagementGenerate and distribute reports on sales performance, lead conversion, and booking trends.Monitor and track market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to support sales strategy.Order and maintain organized digital and physical files for sales contracts, agreements, and client correspondence.Assists in the preparation of monthly board reports.Desirable Attributes:1-3 years of experience in sales support, administrative coordination, hospitality, or event planning.Strong attention to detailSelf-motivated and team playerStrong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems (Simpleview preferred), and database management.Ability to work independently while supporting a team in a hybrid work environment.Willingness to occasionally travel for trade shows, sales events, and site visits.Resourceful problem solving and follow up skills.Reliable, dependable, flexible, and responsive.Why Join Visit Boulder?Work in a dynamic and innovative environment that showcases Boulder's unique culture and attractionsOpportunity to play a key role in driving tourism and economic impact for the communityCompetitive salary, benefits, and professional development opportunitiesHybrid work environment Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, Vacation, Sick time & Mental Health DaysPlease provide a cover letter and resume.
