Sign up to follow @TeamImugene on X/Twitter at /TeamImugene.Position SummaryImugene is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director, Business Development & Licensing to lead and drive strategic partnerships, collaborations, and licensing opportunities in the United States and globally. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role will be instrumental in expanding Imugene's footprint by identifying and securing high-value deals that support our mission to revolutionize cancer immunotherapy.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, a proven track record in business development, and expertise in negotiating complex licensing agreements. This is a high-impact, strategic role that requires strong leadership, industry connections, and the ability to navigate competitive landscapes in oncology and immunotherapy.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Business Development: Identify, evaluate, and execute licensing, M&A, and partnership opportunities that align with Imugene's growth objectives.Deal Structuring & Negotiation: Lead negotiations for in-licensing and out-licensing agreements, research collaborations, joint ventures, and strategic alliances.Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform business development strategy and identify potential opportunities.Pipeline Expansion: Collaborate with R&D, clinical, and regulatory teams to assess external assets for in-licensing and ensure alignment with Imugene's strategic vision.Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with biotech and pharmaceutical companies, venture capital firms, academic institutions, and other key stakeholders.Financial & Commercial Analysis: Assess financial and strategic viability of business opportunities, preparing investment cases and due diligence reports for executive leadership.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including legal, finance, and clinical operations, to support transaction execution and integration.Executive Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Chief Operating Officer and senior leadership team on business development activities and pipeline progress.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related field; MBA, PhD, or advanced degree preferred.10+ years of experience in business development, licensing, or corporate development within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.Strong knowledge of immuno-oncology, cell therapy, or related therapeutic areas.Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing licensing deals and strategic partnerships.Deep industry network with biotech, pharma, venture capital, and academic institutions.Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and due diligence skills.Strong leadership and project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Why Join Imugene?Opportunity to play a pivotal role in a high-growth, innovative biotech company focused on immuno-oncology.Work alongside world-class scientists, clinicians, and industry leaders in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.Competitive compensation package, including equity participation.Ability to work remotely within the United States with occasional travel for conferences, business meetings, and company events.If you are a seasoned business development leader with a passion for advancing cancer immunotherapy, we encourage you to apply and be part of Imugene's mission to transform patient outcomes.This is a full-time remote role. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
