Electrical EngineerBelleville, MIDirect HireJob Description.The Electrical Engineer will work within a team consisting of mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, as well as manufacturing engineers, sales, and manufacturing personnel to support the development and manufacturing of products. The primary job responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer position will be to work with Engineering team to develop electrical systems and controls architecture, generate electrical schematics, generate electrical hardware BOM's, develop electrical system validation procedures, machine controls programming, create logic diagrams, machine debug and electrical system trouble shooting. The Electrical Engineer will need to understand UL 508A safety standard for the construction and installation of industrial control panels as well as be able to generate electrical diagrams, participate in machine wiring on the shop floor and support machine programming in different languages from C++ to AB Rockwell Automation studio 5000 to Siemens TIA Portal, SIMATIC Win CC to Yaskawa MotionWorks and Movicon. Responsibilities and ***** Lead efforts regarding the development of electrical systems and controls architecture Design industrial control panels to UL 508A and other related global standards Create electrical drawings and schematics using SolidWorks Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical Support wire harness development and assembly using wire cutting / stripping machine and Brady wire labeling system Lead efforts to develop PLC controls architecture and controls BOM's Lead efforts for controls programming, development of logic diagrams, and debugging electrical systems Support process and machinery capability studies and equipment installations Support validation of all new and modified processes Assure compliance with electrical engineering guidelines Participate when required in PFMEA and work instruction reviews Ensure that equipment meets all applicable industrial standards Identify and implement continuous improvement projects (e.g. cost reduction, efficiency improvement) Lead controls specification development for machinery and equipment From time to time, support weekend work as required Position ***** **Must be able to generate electrical drawings and schematics. Must be able to read assembly diagrams and mechanical prints.
