Our client is seeking a Legal Project Assistant to join their team. The Project Assistant will support the Firm's Healthcare Practice by utilizing technology to analyze case-related facts and organize large sets of data, conducting research, preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting in editing and formatting documents in Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable software applications, and assisting with other administrative tasks as assigned. The Project Assistant will maintain positive contact with the Firm's Healthcare attorneys, communicate regularly regarding assignments, and observe strict confidentiality of all client and firm matters. We would like for both of these positions to start in mid-March--recent graduates applying MUST be graduates from at least 2023 or 2024--upcoming 2025 graduates will not be considered. This role will need to be in person 5 days a week to begin and may be able to move to a hybrid schedule after they have been trained up and incorporated into the Firm.Status: Direct HireSalary: $55,000.00What Youll Do:Perform data and factual analysis for the Firm's Healthcare attorneysCoordinate the document management, document production, and certain electronic databases for the Firm's Healthcare attorneysMaintain case files and case related documentsOrganize due diligence reviews and classify documents per attorney directionsEnsure proper indexing and filing of legal documentsFormat documents, including large agreements with tables of contents and section-specific cross-referencesPrepare conflict checks on potential clientsMaintain and update the Firm's Healthcare Practice Docketing CalendarPrepare responses to audit inquiry requests for attorney reviewJob Requirements:High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Professional; relevant certifications preferred.Must be able to work independently or in a collaborative environment and be accountable for his/her workload, work accurately under deadlines, pay attention to details, and be able to manage multiple assignments and prioritize deadlines.Must have the ability to synthesize complex or diverse information and collect and research data. When applicable, must effectively present information and respond to follow up questions and assignments from attorneys.Must have a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. Must be willing and able to learn new technologies and software applications with minimal guidance. Must have functional knowledge of the internet and browsers. Experience with legal research sites such as Lexis/Nexis and Westlaw a plusAbility to compute rate, ratio, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs, and utilize Excel functions and formulas effectively.The physical demands of working in a typical business office environment must be met by the employee to perform the essential functions of this job.
