We are committed to continual professional development through building our resources, in-house training programs, and encouraging individual and shared interests bit in and outside of the office.Position DetailsSLM Architecture is currently seeking a Construction Manager to oversee and manage our construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesOversee new construction and renovation projects, ensuring adherence to architectural plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.Monitor compliance with building standards, safety codes, environmental regulations, and relevant state, federal, and local laws.Investigate and resolve project delays while forecasting future needs to maintain project timelines.Review, evaluate, and recommend approval for construction change orders, assessing practicality and economic feasibility.Coordinate with architectural firms, engineering firms, geotechnical consultants, surveyors, material testing firms, general contractors, and MEP contractors.Conduct regular site inspections, monitor construction progress, perform final inspections, generate punch lists, and recommend project acceptance.Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for each project, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.Work closely with the construction procurement manager to maintain accurate and timely administrative records.Prepare and maintain detailed meeting minutes and punch lists.Generate comprehensive site inspection reports and provide regular project updates to stakeholders.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field 8+ years of experienceStrong knowledge of architectural principles, construction practices, and procedures.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Procore, PowerPoint, and Excel is required.NYCHA experience is a plus.
