Quality Engineer Richardson, TXWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the continuous improvement of product and process quality, as well as contribute to quality system enhancements and new product introductions. This is an entry-level position suitable for those with a passion for quality assurance and process improvement within a manufacturing environment. The role includes working closely with senior quality engineers and managers to ensure the highest standards of product quality and compliance.Key Responsibilities:Assist in performing root cause analysis and supporting corrective and preventative action plans.Help implement and monitor quality plans in alignment with customer and company requirements.Assist with product inspections and testing procedures to ensure quality standards are met.Participate in complaint management and analysis, helping to track and resolve customer complaints.Support process validation planning, execution, and revalidation assessments.Assist with calibrating equipment and facilities, ensuring proper preventive maintenance procedures are followed.Collect and monitor manufacturing and quality system data, such as scrap rates, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Perform internal audits to verify compliance with company policies and quality standards.Work with senior team members on quality system improvements and best practices.Help address and resolve exceptions identified during production or inspection, ensuring customer requirements are met.Maintain accurate records in line with company, regulatory, and customer requirements.Utilized statistical software tools like MiniTab to support analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.Required Qualifications:A high school diploma or GED - a bachelor's degree is preferred.1-3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or quality-related role.Familiarity with print reading and basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues promptly.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail and organization.Basic understanding of quality systems such as ISO9001, FDA, or AS9100 is a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.) and other computer applications.Willingness to learn and develop skills related to quality engineering.Preferred Qualifications:ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or willingness to pursue certification.Experience with basic inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.).Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) methods and software tools.Experience working with or knowledge of manufacturing environments, especially in machining or precision fabrication.Physical Requirements:Must be able to stand, walk, and use hands to perform inspections and testing.Ability to occasionally lift products and supplies up to 20 pounds or materials up to 40 pounds.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
