This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days in office in NYCOur client is an industry-backed fintech on a mission to make the syndicated loan market better. By digitally capturing agent banks' data on a real-time basis, pour client provides unprecedented transparency into loan level details and portfolio positions, bringing efficiency and velocity to the entire market. Through their platform, participants can rest assured they are accessing the loan market's most credible source of deal information.About You:Our client is looking for a seasoned Sales Engineer. You will join their Sales team and be responsible for multiple aspects of their sales process. You bring a deep knowledge of the loan market and financial software to help our prospects contextualize client as a solution. In this role you will work directly with the sales team to understand the needs of our customers, strategize on how to navigate winning sales cycles, provide compelling value-based demonstrations, support enterprise Proof of Concepts, and ultimately close business. You will report to the Head of Sales and work collaboratively across internal departments including Product, Technology, and Client Engagement.Key Responsibilities: Act as subject matter expert during sales process and thoroughly understand all aspects of the platform in order to explain the technology to all types of usersAssist in defining sales strategy and is proactive about preparing appropriate data and reports for sales eventsParticipate in demand creation events (seminars, trade shows, conferences, etc.)Build and demo complex client-specific Custom Demonstrations / Proof of ConceptsProvide pre- and post-sales technical expertise as well as ongoing consultation to clients and prospects related to our customer-facing data feed and API solutionsSynthesize knowledge gained from customers interactions back to business management, Product and Technology teamsProactive about maintaining high level of product/solution knowledge, as well as applicable technology changesDeliver high quality documentation of recommended solutions to clients and internal stakeholdersPresent clients technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customersWork hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Versana technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementationImmerse yourself in the ever-evolving industry, maintaining a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors and how to position client in relation to them.Must HavesBachelor's degree in Finance and/or Computer Science a plus8-12 years experience in financial markets, data, or technology salesExperience and familiarity with syndicated loansStrong knowledge of portfolio and investment accounting for middle and back-office workflow and operations highly desiredWorking knowledge of asset management industry a plusStrong understanding of the business process and workflows of clients target markets. Strong technical experience with ability to relate technical advantages into business benefitsOutstanding presenting skills to both technical, front office, and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos.Experience with large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology and/or Data at Scale conceptsAbility to connect a customer's specific business problems client's solutions
