Skycar Creative is seeking an experienced video producer for our growing video and design agency in the Bay Area. We need someone who is very comfortable budgeting, scheduling, crewing and managing teams for commercial productions and post-production. This individual must be able to work with creative teams, clients, freelancers, and staff to make the best work possible in the time and budget given. Ideally, they are quick on their feet, good with words, and a level-headed problem solver on busy sets and in the shop for post-production. This is a hybrid position based in the Bay Area and we expect the producer to be in our Point Richmond offices at least three days a week.Please do not apply if you do not have the minimum qualifications below RESPONSIBILITIES:Create, negotiate, and manage budgets for several productions at a timeManage and deliver multiple live-action and post-production projects on (sometimes) aggressive timelinesHelp manage creative artists, both staff and freelancersCreate project documents - one sheets, work-back schedules, and estimates while setting expectations for the team and keeping all players on trackKeep everyone informed as production progresses: red flags, hard deadlines, actual costsOrganize all assets, documentation, and key deliverables for the teamReview all work prior to shipment to ensure all specs are correct and requirements have been metAssess risks and make assumptions about project costs and timelines, and communicate those variables to the teamKeep leadership informed of day-to-day activity, of any conflicts, delays, or any unusual situationsConsistently work to develop and improve operational efficienciesQUALIFICATIONS:5-10 years of production experience (AP, Coordinator, PM, or producer)A creative, solutions-oriented approach to projects and relationshipsComfortable as a post-producer managing multiple editors, designers and animators at onceExperience with live action producingExperience managing client and vendor relationshipsKnowledge of creative & technical approaches to filmmakingAbility to be flexible and highly adaptive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentAssertive and proactive self-starter with strong interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate clearly, delegate projects, and manage multiple projects at onceCalm and kind under pressurePassion for Excel (or more precisely, Google sheets)Must be Bay Area based and have access to a carNICE TO HAVE:Working knowledge of Adobe SuiteExperience producing animation or VFXStrong connections with artists, crew, and talent in the bay areaBachelors degree in film production, marketing, communications or a related fieldDog-friendly - dogs often hang around here!Salary Range: $90k-$110K (depending on experience) + competitive benefits packageABOUT SKYCAR:We're based in the Bay Area, but we partner with clients everywhere, from brand-new startups to Fortune 100 biggies.
