With a growing investment in advanced manufacturing technology, the company is focused on enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and optimizing workflows. Reporting to the new VP of Operations, this newly created role for an Industrial Engineer will be pivotal in shaping the future of the companys production capabilities. The right person will lead plant layout design and influence strategic decisions to optimize for scalability and efficiency.What You Will Be Doing:Optimize plant layout & process flow to reduce bottlenecks and improve efficiency.Utilize data-driven analysis (e.g., Amper system) to monitor machine utilization and identify inefficiencies.Provide high-level technical expertise on machine operations, troubleshooting, and optimization.Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and implement process standardization.Support lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste and improve production efficiency.Analyze and recommend machinery investments as the company scales operations.Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and leadership teams to drive process improvements.What You'll Need:Hands-on experience with HOMAG machines (plus if you have Biesse as well)Background in Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and data analysis.Experience in cabinetry, casework, or woodworking manufacturing.Proficiency in OEE, downtime analysis, and process optimization tools.Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on problem-solving (50/50 split between strategy & floor work).Strong collaboration skills, working closely with production and leadership teams.Degree in Industrial Engineering (or equivalent manufacturing engineering experience).Big Plus if You Have:Familiarity with Amper (machine monitoring software) or similar tracking tools.Experience with Creo/ProE, AutoCAD, or Cabinet Vision.Exposure to WoodWOP (HOMAG software) or B-Suite (Biesse software).Experience in plant layout design and machine integration.Lean Six Sigma certificationWhat You'll Get in Return:Competitive comp package - strong base + bonusVery strong benefits package + PTORelocation assistance available for the right candidate.Career growth opportunities - grow into a Director of Operations role as the company scalesWork with a growing leadership team committed to modernization and efficiency.Be a pivotal player in driving forward a data-driven manufacturing environment where your insights and expertise will shape the future of production.If you're an Industrial Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer looking for an opportunity to make a lasting impact on manufacturing operations, we'd love to hear from you.
