Title: Manufacturing Engineer II (MEMS)Duration: 12 monthsLocation: Atlanta, GA 30313Shift: 2:30 PM - 11 PM EST (End goal is to have this role be 2nd shift but initially hours will be scheduled as 10 AM - 6/7 PM or something similar, need to be flexible)Starting rate: $44/hrDescription:We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Manufacturing Engineer II. This position will design and develop manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures in order to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality. This position will also support the development/transfer of new product design into manufacturing and provide technical solutions. And may require to work in ISO class 5 and class 7 cleanroom environments, and require handling production materials and process chemicals.Responsibilities:Design and develop manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures in order to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product qualityEvaluation and management of production equipmentProduction support and process validation(s)Interface with vendors for incoming componentsTroubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment(s)Utilize tools like Gage R&R, Cp, Cpk, and SPC to improve processesUnderstanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages, and possibly ability to analyze data using basic statistics.Understand manufacturing concepts like Value Stream mapping, 5S, and Visual Workplace to improve quality, labor efficiency, and throughputProtocol and report writingGenerate and modify manufacturing process documentationWork with cross-functional teams as requiredDevelop and implement process improvementsResolves and/or facilitates resolution of problems including identifying causes to prevent re-occurrenceSupport all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirementsComplies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignmentsMaintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendorsPerforms other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assignedQualifications:Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical, Manufacturing, related engineering degree or equivalent experience required3-5 years of relevant engineering experience with a variety of Semiconductor, MEMS and Medical Device manufacturing processes, process validation processes and Clean Room equipment required.Medical device experience is required unless they have 5 or more years of manufacturing experience in another regulated environment.Experience with various solvent and acid cleans, Wet and Dry etch, PVD and sputtering metal deposition, wire-bonding equipment and processes.Wafer alignment and bonding, laser cutting, various test and measurement equipment.Requires solid computer skills using Microsoft Office, Proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel.Excellent wafers and individual device handling.Demonstrated experience with SolidWorks, Minitab, and CAD systemsExperience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish assigned tasks.Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organizationMultitasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines in a timely mannerStrong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detailAbility to travel approximately 5%, including internationally
