Sales Engineer

Job ** We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer with expertise in Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background and experience in the generator industry, as well as a mechanical or electrical engineering background or highly relevant work experience. This individual will play a critical role in sales, quoting, customer interactions, and technical support, ensuring seamless collaboration between sales and manufacturing. Key *• Provide technical sales support, including quoting and customer-facing interactions.• Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate inventory and efficient manufacturing processes.• Utilize AutoCAD to make design changes and manufacturing revisions that enhance production efficiency.• Serve as a liaison between sales and manufacturing to ensure smooth project execution.• Work closely with management to develop and improve margin reporting processes.• Execute CAD design modifications to optimize manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.• Support the revision of manufacturing work instructions and design files as needed.• Utilize SAGE 100 ERP (or similar systems) to manage inventory and sales processes efficiently.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer satisfaction and product reliability.• Maintain a deep understanding of generator systems and their applications to provide expert guidance. Qualifications & *• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent work experience.• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in OEM, generators, or a closely related industry.• Proven experience in technical sales and customer engagement.• Proficiency in AutoCAD for design modifications and work instruction updates.• Strong experience in BOM creation and maintenance.• Familiarity with SAGE 100 ERP or similar systems (a plus).• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a team-oriented environment.• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
