Junior Quality Assurance Engineer

At pie, we'd rather see you in person than stuck to your screen. About the RoleWe're on a mission to defeat social isolation by getting folks off the couch and into real life. You'll be the guardian of quality: testing, probing, and ensuring our updates don't break a thing (or at least not for long). You'll work closely with our small, tight-knit team, learn our testing tricks, and help shape Pie into the most quietly brilliant (and stable) app out there.What You'll DoLearn and apply our existing testing patterns to create and maintain an automated regression testing suite.Work closely with developers and product managers to understand feature requirements and acceptance criteria.Plan, write, and execute manual and automated tests across multiple platforms (web, iOS, Android).Quickly identify, document, and track bugs, providing clear and concise feedback to the team.Help refine our QA processes and contribute to continuous integration for smooth, reliable releases.Collaborate in daily or semi-daily check-ins with a supportive group that values communication and growth.What We're Looking ForA passion for problem-solving and a willingness to learn the ins and outs of QA best practices.Familiarity with at least one testing framework or tool (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Selenium, etc.), bonus points if you've dipped your toes in mobile testing or CI/CD workflows.Excellent communication skills; you'll be working closely with developers, designers, and product folks.A self-starter mentality, no need to have all the answers, but the curiosity and initiative to find them.Comfort with a bit of ambiguity; we're a startup, so we adapt quickly"”but we'll always have your back.A genuine interest in helping us build products that encourage real-world social connections.What We OfferWorld-class UHC 100% medical coverage.401k with company match.Monthly cell phone, gym, and transit stipends.Dental & vision insurance.Flexible time off.A flexible, collaborative environment with a 9-to-5, in-office vibe.An empathic, friendly, and generous team that believes the best software is built by personalities that mesh.
