Aegis Worldwide Plant Manager- Onsite Cleburne, Texas- Open to relocation Direct Hire Aegis Worldwide is partner with a trucking body manufacturer located just south of Fort Wort, Texas who is looking to add a Plant Manager to their team. Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for driving production improvements, managing labor costs, and overseeing business forecasts to ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in automotive manufacturing, a deep understanding of production processes, and a strategic mindset for optimizing operations and maximizing profitability. Ideal candidate will also have experience working in a manual driven plan environment, not a lot of automation. Key Responsibilities:Production Management & Process Improvement:Drive continuous improvement in production processes using lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other industry best practices.Oversee production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.Develop and implement strategies to reduce cycle times, improve throughput, and enhance overall plant performance.Work closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues.Labor Management & Cost Control:Manage and optimize labor costs by implementing efficient staffing models, performance metrics, and labor-saving technologies.Oversee staffing and workforce planning to ensure the plant has the right number of skilled personnel at all times.Monitor labor productivity, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions to maintain cost competitiveness.Foster a culture of safety, performance, and team engagement.Forecasting & Budgeting:Develop and manage annual business forecasts and budgets for production, labor, and materials.Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to ensure alignment on production goals and financial targets.Review operational data and provide accurate forecasts on production volumes, raw material requirements, and labor needs.Ensure adherence to the plant's budget and suggest improvements to meet or exceed financial objectives.Quality & Compliance:Maintain high standards of product quality and compliance with safety regulations and industry standards (ISO, IATF, etc.).Coordinate with the Quality Control team to monitor production quality, resolve defects, and ensure customer satisfaction.Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations within the plant.Leadership & Team Development:Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of supervisors, engineers, and production staff.Foster a positive, collaborative, and productive work environment.Encourage employee engagement, provide training opportunities, and support career development within the plant.Qualifications:Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).7+ years of experience in plant management within the automotive manufacturing industry.Proven experience in driving production improvements, optimizing labor costs, and managing business forecasts.Strong background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.Skills & Competencies:Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and develop teams.Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.Proficient in using production management software and ERP systems.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.In-depth understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and industry standards.
