DIRECTOR of MISSION INTEGRATIONSummaryThe Director of Mission Integration supports the Senior Director of Mission and Identity (SDMI), ensuring that Solidarity Bridge stays true to its Catholic identity and foundation in Catholic social justice teachings. Integrating that foundation into the formation of mission teams and the wider Solidarity Bridge community is the focus of this role. Learn more about Solidarity Bridge at . To apply, send CV to Ann Rhomberg, Executive Director, at ann@.Responsibilities• Lead the elements of mission team preparation that pertain to global health principles of ethics, mission consciousness and spirituality. In collaboration with the SDMI and leaders in Catholic mission/Catholic social teaching and global health/global surgery, keep mission team preparation pedagogy and online curriculum innovative and up-to-date. • Collaborate with SDMI and in-country partners to create plans for "˜during mission trip' rituals and prayerful reflection spaces. • Serve as mission team chaplain/accompanier in Bolivia and Paraguay. • Lead chaplain recruitment and collaborate with SDMI in training and onboarding of new chaplains. • Maintain and develop new relationships with Catholic parishes and other faith institutions. Oversee all phases of Lenten and Advent campaigns (e.g., liaise with parish leaders, prepare handout materials, speak at masses or arrange for speaker) • Manage the Annual Archdiocesan Mission Appeal • Collaborate with counterparts in Bolivia and Paraguay to achieve all of the above. QUALIFICATIONS::EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Attainment of an advanced degree in a related field and 3-5 years of increasingly responsible administrative experience. Previous management experience in mission or related activities.SPIRITUALITY: Has deep knowledge of Catholic/Christian spirituality and Catholic Social Teaching and an ability to teach and form others in those principles. Has an openness and respect for religious diversity and experience dialoguing across religious expression and tradition. Has a strong personal spiritual foundation and is able to serve as a model and articulator of the mission effort's spiritual basis in the Catholic social tradition. ADMINISTRATIVE: Ability to plan, direct and coordinate activities; negotiate and administer contracts; work with health care providers, parish leaders, community groups and other organizations as necessary.ANALYTICAL: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals; to write reports and maintain business correspondence, to professionally present information and respond to questions from board of directors, staff and members of the community.OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:â— Knowledge of Chicago Archdiocesan infrastructure â— Desire to grow professionally â— Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs â— Spanish proficiency preferred * Reports to Senior Director of Mission and Identity. This is a part-time, benefits-eligible position, at 26 hours per week, with an opportunity to grow in the role.
