Our client is an estate planning and probate practice located in West Chester, PA. We are currently actively recruiting a Trust and Estates Paralegal to work full-time Monday through Friday. This is a hybrid position where successful candidate would be working 3/5 and 2/5 days every two weeks remotely.We are seeking a self-motivated, experienced Trusts and Estates Paralegal to assist the attorney in a rapidly expanding practice involving estate administration and will and trust drafting.Applicants should have at least 3 to 5 years as an estate paralegal working in a Pennsylvania law firm.This position includes legal secretarial administration of case files and correspondence. Applicants with bookkeeping skills, especially QuickBooks, will be given special consideration, but not necessarily a requirement for the right candidate.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND **Handle the administration of estates from the first contact with clients and through each step required by the rules and regulations in Pennsylvania.Prepare and update status reports of estate administration. Keep track of status of work and daily updates, including correspondence, scheduled calls, and meetings.Review financial information received from client; audit documents to correct errors; draft estate tax analysis.Prepare, review, and finalize binder documents and cover pages.Prepare final estate planning letter which includes copies of executed estate planning documents and recommendations for various asset transfers related to trust funding strategy, including investment accounts, real estate, life insurance and retirement assets.General bookkeeping duties as needed.Assist and Prepare estate tax returns and proficiency with Lackner estate administration programOrganize, scan, copy, and email legal documents in a timely manner as needed.Update and organize electronic and physical files for easy *Original estate planning documents for file management; familiarity with MyCase case management software a plus.Prepare packages with original documents as needed for transferring clients. Regular and dependable attendance is an essential function of the job.Handle special projects or additional responsibilities as assigned from time to time by the attorney.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ****Knowledge of financial and legal management principles at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree, accredited paralegal program or equivalent experience.Ability to demonstrate impeccable integrity in personal and fiduciary matters.Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with attorney, staff and clients and provide information and "customer service" with courtesy and tact.
