Long term contract for a management consulting firmOnsite for an Energy end clientDallas locationUS Citizens only and must have prior consulting experienceJob Summary:We are seeking a forward-thinking and highly skilled End User Compute (EUC) Strategist to join our IT team. The EUC Strategist will be responsible for driving the strategy, development, and management of end-user computing solutions to ensure the seamless delivery of services across all devices, platforms, and applications used by the organizations employees. This position will work closely with key stakeholders to enhance the end-user experience, improve efficiency, and ensure a secure and scalable computing environment.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive End User Computing strategy aligned with business objectives and technology trends. Ensure that end-user devices and software solutions are effectively supporting productivity, collaboration, and security.End-User Technology Management: Oversee the lifecycle of end-user computing devices (laptops, desktops, mobile devices, etc.) and software applications, including selection, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.User Experience Optimization: Identify and implement solutions that enhance the end-user experience, with a focus on usability, reliability, and performance. Collaborate with UX/UI teams to improve design and functionality.Cloud and Virtualization Strategy: Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions and virtualization technologies (e.g., VDI, DaaS) to optimize end-user productivity and support remote or hybrid work environments.Security and Compliance: Work closely with security teams to ensure that all end-user computing solutions comply with company security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Implement security protocols for device management, application access, and data protection.Collaboration & Communication: Partner with other IT leaders, business units, and external vendors to ensure alignment and integration of end-user computing strategies with broader organizational technology goals.Technology Evaluation & Adoption: Research emerging technologies, evaluate their potential impact, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance end-user computing environments.Performance Metrics & Reporting: Develop and maintain metrics to assess the performance and effectiveness of EUC solutions. Provide regular reports on device usage, security status, and support requests.Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize the costs associated with end-user computing hardware, software, and support services. Ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or security.Support & Training: Develop and lead initiatives to ensure end users are equipped with the necessary tools, knowledge, and support to use their devices and applications effectively. Provide guidance on troubleshooting and user support.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications in EUC technologies (e.g., Microsoft, Citrix, VMware) are a plus.Experience:Proven experience (5+ years) in end-user computing, IT infrastructure, or desktop management roles.Strong experience with EUC technologies (e.g., Windows, macOS, VDI, MDM solutions, and cloud-based solutions).Demonstrated success in designing and implementing end-user computing strategies in a large-scale, enterprise environment.Skills:Deep understanding of device management, cloud solutions, virtualization technologies, and enterprise applications.Expertise in IT security principles, especially as they relate to end-user computing.Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and execute complex projects.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to think strategically while also being hands-on with day-to-day EUC operations.Experience with cost management and vendor negotiation for EUC solutions.Certifications (preferred):Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator AssociateCitrix Certified Expert (CCE-V)VMware End-User Computing certification (VCP-DTM)
